retreat reviews

On all levels this trip tugged at my heartstrings and changed my life. Erin created a communal and welcoming atmosphere starting on day one with openness, intention, and acceptance. I will forever remember this trip as the ultimate start of 2025 because of the amazing friends surrounding me and our more than helpful teacher, Erin. Everybody was there for each other, open to curiousness and play, present with open ears and hearts, and with the common interest of growth. The Still Salty team as well was extremely accommodating and nothing short of paradise!! I very much look forward to coming back next year! Thank you so much Erin!!!!💜

Erin's yoga retreat to Nicaragua was transformative and simply amazing. This was my first time to Nicaragua, and Erin shepherded us all through the process of arriving and travelling to the retreat, making it a breeze to show up ready to restore and relax.  Erin immediately created a warm environment among a diverse group of strangers who quickly became friends, making sure everyone felt welcome and included.

Erin had developed a series of interconnected yoga practices that we flowed through during the whole week, practices that were both fully accessible and comfortable for new yogis, while providing plenty of challenge to the more experience.  I can easily say my practice rose to a higher level after this one week of dedicated focus on my own yoga practice with Erin's guidance and caring attention.

In between practices, Erin helped organize amazing opportunities for the group, from boating through the mangroves to testing our coordination with salsa dancing.  Just as important, Erin's retreat offered an amazing opportunity to disconnect and rediscover the value of relaxing deeply in this most beautiful place.  Ocean waves became the soundtrack to lounging in a hammock, lounging in the pool, or resting on the warm sandy beach in between ocean swims.

Before the week was over, we were already asking Erin when we'd be able to come back and do this all again.  I came without a concept of just how much I needed a retreat like this in my life, and I came away certain that I'll be first to sign up for Erin's next yoga retreat.

This retreat was not just a getaway, but a transformative experience that nourished both the body and soul. Erin created an open and grounded space where we could feel encouraged to try new things in our yoga practice and feel at peace with our practice. She guided us on a chakra journey that prompted conversations with our fellow yogis and encouraged play with the asanas outside of class. The retreat location was paradise and the sound of the ocean accompanied every moment and I felt refreshed, centered, and inspired.

Erin curated an enriching week of adventure through thoughtful yoga sessions, workshops, and community focused activities. All rooted in the beautiful space that is the Still Salty Escape Retreat Center in El Viejo Nicaragua. An incredible landscape of deep azure blue ocean and verdant tropical plant life encapsulating you immediately upon arrival. It’s truly a paradise that has to be experienced in person to fully appreciate the beauty it has to offer. Erin provided a schedule that consisted of accessible yet invigorating yoga classes that were all strung together by taking us on a journey through the various Chakras within the body. Her experience and passion for her yoga teachings are equally matched by her desire to have fun, and create an environment that encourages her students to make meaningful connections with one another. It was a well-balanced week allowing participants to deepen their yoga practice, but also find time to lounge, refresh, and rejuvenate themselves. Facilitated through the nourishing meals provided by the kind staff or with quiet time reading in a hammock overlooking the ocean - all set to a soundtrack of gentle waves and exotic birdsong in the background. Erin’s ability to communicate and skills of organization were much appreciated.  Whether it was being the conduit for the retreat center, answering questions about flights, or coordinating arrival and departure accommodations surrounding the days of the retreat – we all knew we were in good hands. When the opportunity arises I won’t hesitate to sign up for another retreat offered by Erin.
