      <image:title>about - a little about my artistic practice</image:title>
<image:caption>Originally from Springfield, Missouri, I moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 2015 to pursue art school. I graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute at the end of 2019 with a BFA in ceramics. In school I used ceramics as a tool to research and capture the effects of people’s relationships of existing within our urban environment. After graduating I was grateful to get to spend two months in Eastern Iceland at an artist residency called Fish Factory with funding I received from the Regina Brown Student Undergraduate Fellowship from NCECA, a grant specifically for ceramic undergrads. After returning, I took an extended break from clay to focus on personal healing and my yoga training. In 2023 I finally moved into another ceramics studio in Kansas City where I am currently working.</image:caption>

      <image:title>about - a little about my yoga practice</image:title>
<image:caption>My life shifted when I began practicing yoga after graduating from KCAI, right at the start of the pandemic. This newfound practice showed me how to slow down and gave me the tools to live a life of purpose and intention. Regular practice has profoundly impacted my life by teaching me how to develop self trust, move through uncomfortable situations, connect with ancient roots and deeply enjoy this time spent in my mind and body. Eager to know more, I took my first 200 hour teacher training in Kansas City at True Love Yoga with Lauren Leduc and soon realized I had to join this lineage of teaching. I quickly went on to receive my 300 hour teacher training with Kayla Nielson in Nicaragua in 2023. Since then I have traveled to India to study Ashtanga under Laruga Glaser. Currently I am practicing Ashtanga in Kansas City with my teacher Kyra Weinberger, teaching weekly vinyasa classes and hosting international retreats.</image:caption>
